Before working with law firms, we spent years building regulated AI systems in global payments infrastructure, environments where data governance was an operational requirement, not a policy document, and where failures had immediate consequences. After working with my first law firm, I started paying attention to what was happening in legal AI and writing about what I was seeing under the hood, and one thing led to another.
Today I host a weekly podcast with some of the leading voices in legal AI, publish weekly in-depth analysis on YouTube, write a weekly newsletter, have authored and co-authored multiple published articles, and been a guest on Law: What's Next and Version Up. Close to 5,000 people in this space follow the work. I've worked with law firm partners, AI consultants, and lawyers building their own AI-native practices across 4 continents.

Being a machine learning engineer in fraud detection means I have spent a big part of my career on one specific question: will this AI system actually work when it matters, or just when conditions are ideal?
